Favorite Class activity.
My favorite class activity was when we had to analyze the screen shots of ads. It made me realize that a lot of people couldn't look beyond the surface. Most of the people just stated what was there and what they thought it meant. I saw how it was arranged how things were placed and tried to think why. Unfortunately I didn't figure out how to say it.
Process for Persuasive.
My process for persuasive papers is very simple. First I have an idea for my paper. I then do digging on what the opposition had to say on my topic. After I find these counterarguments I do more research on my side to counter these counter arguments, if I don't already have counters. I then right my paper putting in pertinent details where they are needed. In the end I try to put one more fact on my side then I have counterarguments. In order to win an argument you just need to counter all of you opponent's points and throw in a point for your side they can't counter.
Audience Analysis
When I wrote my audience analysis I thought I would address the hard cores of both science and religion. Then I realized that wouldn't work. By writing the analysis and getting the feedback made me realize I should focus more on those who believe on side but can still be influenced. People who were in the "questioning" phase. When I came to this realization I made my paper more questioning in order to make them question it themselves. I asked "Is it that hard to believe that God can be a scientific theory?" for those who believe bible word for word. and "If the old testament was fiction aimed at getting you to believe in God why put something so simple that only speaks of the person?" for the "bible is a lie" minded.
Analysis of Persuasive paper
In my Persuasive paper I made the claim that God can exist as a Theory of science. Since it was introduced as a theory it was not so much about proving it as getting the reader to see that it was possible. To do this I denounced several misnomers about the Old testament. I chose the old testament because it is the area that goes over God more than the Messiah or lack thereof. The first thing I had to do was point out that "many of the stories in the old testaments are myth and second hand" I continued on by pointing out that Jonah's story could be one that was and exaggeration with, "If he was in the great fish how could Jonah known how long he was in the great fish." The next thing I had to do was get rid of the main barrier, creationism. I shortly did this by pointing out that this story was written a thousand years after Adam and Eve.
Audience
In an overlook of my papers I have noticed that my audience is mainly people who have a straight forward way of thinking. In my first paper I thought my audience was just anyone, but then I realized that I was showing the straight-forward thinkers that you don't have to do everything the same way as everyone else has. I decided that I would do things differently. Even though it seems that my papers have different audiences, it still boiled down to don't look at things word for word, find a new way. That's why my audience is people who just think straight forward.

Picture And Reason
This is the picture I believes best represents my narrative. Looking at the photo all you see is a man looking over a city at night. This man is a character from a Final Fantasy X. What makes me choose this photo is what he obsesses over. He is always talking about stories. He says things like "Now is the time to choose your story." and "All stories must end." but at one point he mentions that he has done nothing. He says "I changed nothing. That is my story." It makes me think he is pushing people to change there stories but why. It's because he didn't change his story so he is encouraging them to change there own. Maybe I need to change my story to.

The Interview
The other day I interviewed Pastor Dawn one of the leaders of the LCM (Lutheran Campus Ministries). I was wondering about one of the things she kept mentioning, the UCM (United Campus Ministries). The process of setting up the interview was fairly easy. Every Tuesday she would be at the LCM, so I scheduled I knew I could get there. I brought my laptop to record the interview.
I got there an hour early just because that was the time I usually get to the LCM. I had not prepared my questions before hand but I knew what I wanted to ask. Soon after I got there another person showed up and The three of us started a conversation, before the interview. The Discussion focused on LGBT and other related topics such as the United and Lutherans views on Homosexuals and the view from the LCM on NIU. Before you ask the LCM supports them.
